Trinity, TX Air Conditioning Repair & Service

History

Since settlers first arrived in the area in 1872, Trinity, TX has overcome a number of obstacles to become the city it is today. For two decades the town saw its population grow, only to suffer a setback in 1892 when 11 houses burned to the ground. Things rebounded at the dawn of the twentieth century with the arrival of an opera house, ice plant, light plant and electric mill. A fire ravaged the business district in 1908, but the town was rebuilt and incorporated as Trinity in 1910.

Through most of the 1900s, Trinity experienced slow but steady growth, with the population peaking at 3,371 in 1988. Today, Trinity remains a small, rural city full of people who take great pride in the history and beautiful scenery of the area.

Geography

Trinity is located about 80 miles north of Houston, and the city limits enclose 3.8 square miles of land. By far the most prominent nearby geographic feature is the namesake Trinity River, which flows south and west of the city.

Demographics

Attractions

Rated #1 by the Dallas Morning News, the Whispering Pines Golf Club is home to one of Texas’ most highly regarded golf courses. In addition to the award-winning main course, the Club includes a shorter 9-hole course called “The Needler”, along with rental cottages and world-class recreational facilities. Another popular destination for the whole family is the Outback Campground and Marina, featuring one- and two-bedroom cabins right on the shores of Lake Livingston.

Trinity residents take great pride in their history, and many links to the past are still on display in the area. One of the most famous is the Old Red Schoolhouse, built in 1915. The building served as a school for more than 80 years and was also used as a haunted house on Halloween; when it was slated for demolition in 1990, citizens banded together to have the school designated as a historic site for continued use.

Climate

Like most of Texas, Trinity sees its share of hot summer days, with July highs often reaching the mid-90s and above. Winters are typically mild, but the weather may still dip below freezing, making high-quality climate control a must-have throughout the year.
