What Does It Mean to Be NATE Certified?

When looking for HVAC technicians in your area, you might notice that some companies proudly mention that their team is certified by NATE. This is a big deal in the HVAC industry, but the average person usually doesn’t know what it means. NATE certification means that a person is certified by the North American Technician Excellence organization. Having a NATE certificate means that a technician has gone through a rigorous training and approval process. How Does a Person Get Certified? To get certified, technicians have to take at least one core and one specialty test. The core test is in either service or installation. Many of the air conditioning technicians providing Trinity residents with AC repairs are actually certified in both. Even experienced technicians usually can’t just pass these tests without studying.
